Anne-Sophie Bine is a Franco-Polish director and writer.

Before obtaining her MFA in Directing from the American Film Institute, Anne-Sophie received a BA from Stanford University followed by an MA in Philosophy from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.

She got her start in the film industry in London, working alongside Oscar-winning Production Designer Rick Heinrichs on Disney’s Pinocchio, then moved to New Zealand to work on Amazon's Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.

Her work focuses on complex female protagonists making morally gray choices – especially those surrounding sexuality.

Her 2021 short, Dog Lover, was a Film Shortage Daily Pick. Her 2022 short, Cherubs, was chosen for CAA’s Moebius showcase and won the Best New Director award at Brooklyn Film Festival. It will continue to play at festivals worldwide through the rest of the year.

She is currently developing her first feature, a psycho-sexual thriller which she most recently brought to Cine Qua Non’s Story Revision lab.
